Ranj Singh
& The Discriminators
Ranj Singh & The Discriminators, was formed in 2007 with Ranj on vocals and 12 string guitar, Chris Dufault on guitars and bass, Bojan Bugarinovic on Sitar, bass, and guitars, Dan Huget on his funky Electric Violin, and later Greg Stuart on percussion.
RANJ SINGH & THE DISCRIMINATORS
Ranj Singh and The Discriminators, was formed in 2007 with Ranj on vocals and 12 string guitar, Chris Dufault on guitars and bass, Bojan Bugarinovic on Sitar, bass, and guitars, Dan Huget on his funky Electric Violin, and later Greg Stuart on percussion. The 5 piece band enjoyed a history of performing at many venues around the greater Vancouver area, before gaining major attention after performing at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
While enroute to perform as a duet at the 2010 Paralympics, Ranj and Chris were involved in a car accident. This resulted in not being able to perform as often as they would have liked, but the band did manage to get together and record and release “Found A Way Home” in 2011.
Ranj had a previous album with Chris released in 2007 titled “Simple Man” and later a solo album “The Man Cold” in 2016.
Due to the ongoing impacts of the accident, the band retired in 2012.
Fast forward to 2024, and Ranj and the Discriminators have unanimously and enthusiastically agreed to reunite for this amazing cause.
Be prepared for a treat with the bands’ unique sound of “Indo Folk Music”, a masala of subtle Indian melodies and rhythms blended with western folk originals and classic covers.

Options Community Services is a registered local charity who has been providing essential social services in Surrey, South Surrey, White Rock, Delta and Langley for over 50 years.
Options collaborates with individuals, businesses, community organizations, and all levels of government to create effective, focused and responsive resources for our communities.
Services that include:
- Early childhood development
- Crisis support
- Employment opportunities and community integration for new immigrants and refugees
- Transition housing for women fleeing violence
- Support for at-risk youth
- Support for the homeless
- Affordable housing
Today, these services include over 600 staff, 88 programs, 19 locations and 270+ volunteers.
Options’ first purpose-built, mixed income housing development was completed in December 2023. Located at King George Blvd. and 81st Avenue, Habitat@81st has 100 rental units that are now home to community members, including: women fleeing violence, refugees, seniors, at-risk youth and others facing barriers in finding decent and affordable housing, while the first two floors actively host a variety of community services.
Kelly Gomez, current resident at Habitat@81st, shares “Finding a home through Options for myself, my husband and my four children was a gift from God. We were days away from being on the street, a place I had been before and had never wanted to go again I wanted more for my children than what I had growing up and therefore this home is a blessing.”
